Scope of Works at Tewkesbury Drive

  • The scope of works included the construction of a 15.00m diameter shaft which was sunk by caisson approx 15m deep.
  • The shaft was then converted into a detention tank which would store storm water during times of heavy rainfall to prevent flooding of the local area and take a total of 11 local homes off the flood register.
  • Work also included constructing an insitu reinforced concrete discharge chamber and weir chamber. And upsizing approx 250m of the local sewer network with pipes ranging from 300mm to 750mm diameter complete with 9 manhole chambers followed by the abandonment of the existing sewers.
  • Finally a permanent grass paving system for HGV access was laid across the entrance and around the new underground detention tank.
