Courtaulds Sewer, Preston

This project was carried out on behalf of Balfour Beatty, for United Utilities.

The aim of the works were to fix part of the damaged existing foul sewer which was flowing into the River Ribble after the bank had collapsed.

It involved the stabilisation of a bank on one side of the River Ribble with over 400m of pre-driven permanent steel sheet piling, re-construction of over 400m of the sewer system and new cycle track / pedestrian walkway.
